How To Whitelist Email in Gmail, Outlook and AOL

Thank you for subscribing to HowToDraw…

To ensure you keep receiving your HowToDraw… updates, you will need to add my corresponding email address to your whitelist so that you never miss out.

A whitelist is simply a list of email addresses which you are willing to accept, so that email blocking programs allow them to pass through to you.

This Is Important!

The Internet has grown so fast over the last decade and a bit that inevitably there were always going to be some problems. One of these problems is ‘spam’ – y’know the one, “I said you buy one you get one free” – that type of thing!

In fact, it has gotten so bad that many email providers and Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) have begun putting their own blocking systems in place which rely on unreliable blacklists in a poor attempt to sieve the bad guys out to make room for the good.

Why is it unreliable? Because, one persons idea of what spam is may not be the same as the next persons idea of spam – and so mail you have requested to receive could divert to your spam folder without you ever having seen it to judge for yourself. Just because of one persons opinion. Crazy, right?

However, all is not lost. There is something you can do to make sure you never miss an email from me and HowToDraw… again.

You can whitelist me before your delivery becomes interupted!

Below are instructions for a few of the most popular email systems including Gmail, AOL, and Outlook.com (including Hotmail, Windows Live and MSN).

1.) Locate an email from me in your inbox. My email is lou@pencilportraitsbyloupemberton.co.uk.

What To Do If Your Email System Isn’t Listed Above?

If you are unsure how to whitelist in your email system, and it isn’t above, then the best thing to do would be to first do a search either on Google, Bing or your email systems website itself – they may have instruction in their support sections. If you are still none the wiser, then contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them to help.
